Please be advised that Cllr Martin Kennedy has stepped down from his role as Town Mayor. The Council will look to elect a new mayor at its meeting on 20th January 2020 to cover the council year until May 2020.

Cllr Kennedy was born in Dunstable and moved to Houghton Regis in 1982 when he got married.

After having served as a fire-fighter for 21 years he now works for the British Transport Police on the railways in London and has been doing so for the last 9 years.   

Martin has been actively involved in local politics and is looking to support his community through this role as a local councillor.

Through the Town Council Martin is looking to help secure improvements to peoples quality of life, through improved employment opportunities and the growth agenda.

Of particular concern is the problem of nuisance motorbikes and he would like to help to address this town wide problem.
