Councillor Kenneth Wattingham

I was born and bred in Houghton Regis, and remained in the town after I was married, bringing up my family here.

Having been employed as a driver and supervisor of a truck stop in the past, I stopped to become a full-time carer to my wife, who sadly passed away last year.

I currently volunteer with the SOS bus providing first aid assistance at events and functions.

I was co-opted onto the Town Council during 2014/15 and have continued to serve the Council since.

Following the Annual Meeting in 2018 I was elected to stand as the Town Mayor of Houghton Regis for the year 2018/19, which has been a great honour.

I am very happy that the residents have chosen to elect me back for this next term of office, where I can continue as a Councillor in helping enhance and developing facilities and services for young people in the community as well as for the older and vulnerable sector of the community.
