Councillor David Abbott

Cllr Abbott is now semi-retired and has had a range of employment in his working life, including engineering, design, the Civil Service and for the last 15 years until recently, property management.

Outside of work for most of his adult life David has always been involved in local community groups and organisations including school governing bodies and lately five years being the chairman of Dunstable Sea Cadets.

His extensive employment history means that David is able to offer a wealth of experience and ideas to the work of the Town Council and is keen to give something back to his community.

He is particularly interested in the impact of the new housing projects, and looks forward to helping to shape this expansion to ensure that Houghton Regis is fit for the future for all its residents.
