The Town Council has 14 elected members who were all elected in the May 2011 elections. Town Councillors do not receive any payment and offer their time voluntarily for the benefit of the community. Of these councillors two are also Central Bedfordshire Councillors..

All Town Council meetings are open to the public. There is a specific time set aside at the beginning of each meeting for members of the public to ask questions or make comment.
