Houghton Rocked on Saturday 2nd September at the free Houghton Rocks Music Festival, which took place at Parkside Drive Recreation Ground.
Nicola Bond, The Trollies, Sean, the Young People from Houghton Regis Youth Centre, Big in Brazil, The Flying Ants and Tess and The Durbervilles performed on the dome stage with classic songs such as 'Gene Genie' 'Livin' on a Prayer' and' Twist and Shout', to a special version of 'Parklife', adapted especially for the event.
Houghton Rocks was hosted by Curtis Hinton, who is himself from Houghton Regis and the event was officially opened by the Town Mayor Councillor Joanna Hillyard.
Houghton Rocks included a classic and vintage motor show, stalls and information stands, car boot stalls, a beer tent, fairground rides for younger children and food retailers.
The Town Council would like to thank Signposts for their assistance with marshalling and Zebra Properties for sponsoring the event.
